The 3 inch Ratchet is designed to make the 3 inch ratchet straps which are heavy duty tie down straps to secure heavy cargo, such as large equipment, large machinery, construction materials, lumber, etc. This 3” ratchet will never be used to secure lightweight cargo. If you look for lightweight ratchet strap, you can go to 1″ ratchet straps or 2″ ratchet straps.
