2'' E Track Ratchet Straps

Lubricate the Ratchet Mechanism Regularly

The ratchet mechanism of ratchet straps are made of metal and will be affected by the weather, so you need to check regularly if they are running smoothing and lubricate the ratchet with lithium grease regularly. This could keep the ratchets in a good condition, but you need to use them regularly since they will wash away after some time.

We need to ensure the ratchets keep moving and tighten the ratchet strap, so we need to lubricate it, not too much, a little can keep everything working, even in the winter.

Thread the Strap from Underneath

When you are going to thread the strap into the ratchet, try to thread from underneath, do not thread from the top. In this way, your cargo can be tightly secured and when you need to loose the strap, it will be easier.

Leave Enough Space for Ratchet

You’d better leave enough space for the ratchet because you need to extend the ratchet to release it. When you arrive at the destination and need to unload, you will get trouble pulling down the ratchet.

Collect the Excess Strap

Sometimes, when your loading ratchet strap is longer than the cargo you need to haul, do not let any excess strap loose, because they will damage the cargo and shorten the lifespan itself.

There are many ways to collect the excess strap, some truck drivers will roll up the ratchet tie-down strap by bungee strap, someone ties a knot and tuck into the tightened strap or any other way you are familiar with.

The last we need to remind each truck driver, although the ratchet strap is strong and reliable, you need to check them before and after use. If you found anywhere tear and wear, do not use it anymore, you need a new one.
