E Track Ratchet Straps
E Track Ratchet Straps work very well with E Track Rails in the back of your trailer, moving van, dry van, etc. E Track rail is installed along the floor or wall of the trailer and when securing your cargo, you can use the ratchet straps with e track end fittings to hook into the rail at different angles to make a proper securement point. In this way, your cargo can be firmly secured in the trailer, this helps a lot for professional movers and trucking drivers.
Different from cam buckle straps, ratchet straps tighten the cargo by the ratchet mechanism, this is great for cargo securement because you only can release the mechanism by opening the ratchet handle completely flat. Also, E Track Ratchet Straps are always used to secure heavy duty cargo.
How to tighten E Track Ratchet Straps?
- Latch one end of e track ratchet straps into the e track rail.
- Wrap the webbing over the cargo and latch another end of e track ratchet tie down strap into the rail installed on the floor or wall.
- Thread the webbing into the ratchet and remove the excess webbing until there’s no risk that the ratchet will get jammed.
- Start ratcheting the handle up and down to tighten the webbing to your desired strength. Be careful, do not over-tighten your cargo to get damaged.
How to release E Track Ratchet Straps?
- Release the tension on the ratchet strap and make it completely open, then you can release the webbing from the slot.
- Release the end of the strap from the e track rail
- Organized your strap well and store in a dry and cool place. Appropriate storage will help you to extend the lifespan of the strap.
Can I secure my vehicle in the trailer by using the E Track Ratchet Straps?
As long as the vehicle does not exceed the average weight, 2 inch E Track Ratchet Straps are able to tie down most cases. 2 important things you need to remember: 1. The strap you are using must be rated for the vehicle, do not try to use the unsafe strap to secure the vehicle. 2. Use 4 tie down straps at 4 different securement points to ensure safe transportation.
