When you’re not paying complete attention to the process of strapping the cargo, sometimes, the ratchet can get tangled or intertwine which might lead to problems of reduced breaking strength and the straps not working properly. The most appropriate decision would be to release the ratchet strap completely and starting over again. It’s not a time taking process. But if you rush through it and end up damaging the straps, you’re going to have to spend time and money to get new ones.
