Why twisting straps?

Wear and tear are the main reason that reduces the service life of trucking straps. When you tie down the cargo at the back of the flatbed trailer and driving on the road, the bump in the road will pass the vibration and shaking through the wheel to the trailer, cargo and tie down webbing, accumulate over a long period, the webbing will wear and tear very serious. Plus, the airflow will also cause friction with the webbing.

This is the reason why twist strap appears, half twists the strap will greatly reduce the vibration and friction to the strap.

Half twist the strap can make the air easily flow between the cargo and strap, reducing the chance that the wind can move the tie down webbing and cause friction.

Friction is the worst thing for the cargo and webbing on the road and wind can easily cause rub between cargo and strap. Twisting straps can greatly reduce the risk of friction due to the vibration. Just now twist too much, that is why we suggest half twist is enough in most cases.
